Sofiya Inger to exhibit in Chicago

Artist member Sofiya Inger will be exhibiting in Earth Dreaming, a juried exhibition sponsored by the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD).

The show will be open to the public June 27-30 in the Grand Ballroom South of the Wyndam O'Hare Hotel in Rosemont, IL (at the O'Hare International Airport). There will be a reception at the gallery on Sunday, June 28 from 8:30 - 10:30pm.

Winners of the 2009 Nancy Richter Brzeski Dream Art Awards will be announced at the reception. Sofiya will be at the reception.

Artist Member Sofiya Inger is one of the featured artists in the Dean Johnson Gallery's new exhibition Dreamtime opening tomorrow, May 1 (in conjunction with First Friday). She will be exhibiting paintings (see painting above) and fabric sculptures inspired by dreams.

Dreamtime: the exhibit is an extraordinary display of diverse and forward thinking works of art all inspired and created directly from the artist’s dreams. The exhibit is a compilation of work used to illustrate the groundbreaking PBS television program Dreamtime: Universal Archetypes.
