Call For Artists: Indianapolis Art Center College Exhibition




The Indianapolis Art Center is announcing a special call for artists open to currently enrolled Indiana college students. We are looking to select 6 – 12 College Students for a group showcase this winter (December 7 – February 3) in the Indianapolis Art Center’s Frank M. Basile Exhibition Hall.

Eligibility:
-This opportunity is open to undergraduate or graduate students of all ages currently enrolled in any College or University in the State of Indiana.
-Students may be pursuing any of the following degrees in ANY area of fine art or craft :  Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts.
-All work must be original and made by the artist. No reproductions or copies.


To Apply, please submit the following via mail or email:

-An Artist Resume, not to exceed one page,
which includes the degree you are seeking and the school you attend.
-5 to 10 images of individual works (details may be included)
-Artist Statement, Not to Exceed 300 words.


Your proposal materials WILL NOT be returned to you.

Call for Entries: SculptEVV


SculptEVV:  $36,500 in award money.

The City of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana invite sculptors and sculpture collaborations to submit works/proposals to Sculpt EVV —a juried outdoor sculpture show, opening June 15, 2013, and closing April 20, 2014. Successful applicants receive $1,200 installation stipends for each artwork installed and are eligible for: $20,000 purchase award, $10,000 best-in-show, $5,000 2nd place, $1,000 3rd place and $500 people’s choice. Sculpt EVV will congratulate the award winners in a full page color ad in Sculpture Magazine (see September 2012) and list the other artists in the show.

The 2013-14 juror is: Lisa D. Freiman, senior curator and chair of the Department of Contemporary Art, Indianapolis Museum of Art.
