iMOCA announces restructuring

From iMOCA:

As friends and supporters of iMOCA, I want to take a moment to introduce myself and update you on some changes we are making to the museum's programming and structure.

First, while continuing to present exhibitions at our flagship location at 340 North Senate Avenue, iMOCA will return to its early mission of taking art out to the community. We are currently investigating opportunities, through partnerships with other organizations, to bring the best in contemporary art to venues around the city.

Second, we will increase the diversity and range of our programming by inviting artists and arts professionals from around the country to curate shows for the museum.

Third, and most importantly, Jeremy Efroymson will be leading these changes as the interim executive director. As many of you know, Jeremy has been a part of iMOCA since its inception more than ten years ago, and has played several roles with the organization including board member, executive director, and donor.

Lastly, we elected new officers at our June board meeting. They are: Brandon Judkins, president; Jennifer Boehm, vice president; Deb Borchelt, treasurer; and Mark Palmenter, secretary.

We all know this is a tough time for arts organizations and we are looking at ways to create a sustainable future for iMOCA, while continuing to exhibit some of the best contemporary art in the country. In all of these recent changes, one theme has been consistent; the art, and making it accessible to more people, are our top priorities. We hope you'll support us in this endeavor by seeing our shows, attending our educational series, telling your friends about us, and, of course, donating to iMOCA.

Thanks for all your past and future support.

Brandon Judkins

Board President
