Art Festival Saturday July 31, 2010
Dear Artist,
We look forward to having you participate in the Syracuse SummerFest Art Festival.
Throughout the weekend there are many events happening all around the Town of Syracuse. There will be music every night, local restaurants will showcase something from their menu, and Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Competition begins on Thursday afternoon. A Photography contest for grades 12 and under, The Adventure Boat Race will take place on Syracuse Lake with prizes awarded on Saturday at the Art Festival. Retail Sidewalk Sales and Garage Sales start on Thursday and continue through Saturday. A Family Friendly Outdoor Movie Night is planned. This is just a sampling of events planned for Syracuse and surrounding communities. Several more events are in the planning stage.
Here is information about the Art Festival. We already have fantastic bands scheduled during festival hours. There will be a Kids Activity Tent. The Photography contest entrants will have their work on display and awards will be handed out in the afternoon as will all the awards for different competitions held during the weekend. Food vendors will be stationed throughout the venue.
Artists can donate an item to be raffled off for a Wawasee High School Art Scholarship.
For those not familiar with Syracuse, Indiana: This is a great weekend to be in Syracuse. During the summer Syracuse grows by 40,000 visitors and summer residents. The Art Festival is being held down in the Wawasee Village due to the volume of traffic. We believe this will be a great benefit to you to showcase your work.
We would like to encourage all Artists to demonstrate their medium if possible.
Please see your Artist Registration form for contact information if you have any questions.
We look forward to a fantastic weekend!
