ARTventure 2010: The 2010 Adventure Summit

ELIGIBILITY:
ARTventure is a juried art exhibition that takes place during The Adventure Summit to showcase the artistic representation of outdoor activities, such as kayaking, hiking, biking, climbing, fishing, etc. Open to all Dayton area artists working in 2D media. The Adventure Summit takes place on Friday, March 5, from 2pm to 10pm, and Saturday, March 6, from 9am to 6pm, in the Wright State University Student Union. The event is sponsored by Five Rivers MetroParks and Wright State University, and is free to art lovers and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and interest levels.

ENTRY PROCEDURE:
Work will be juried from digital entries due by Friday, February 5. Digital files should be no larger than 1000 ppi (72 dpi) at the largest measurement and must be named as follows: LASTNAME_A.JPG to correspond to the entry form. To e-mail images to tomhelbig@metroparks.org , you must put "LASTNAME _ARTVENTURE ENTRY" in the subject line. Entry is free for up to 3 entries. Artists will be notified of the jury results by e-mail by February 10.

TIMELINE:
Fri., Feb. 5: Entries Due.
Wed., Feb. 10: Notification of Accepted Work: (BY EMAIL).
Sat., Feb. 27, from 10am – 12pm: Drop off Accepted Artwork.
Fri., Mar. 5, from 2pm to 10pm: ART Venture 2010 Exhibit open at The Adventure Summit.
Fri. Mar. 5, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm: Friday Night Summit Soiree;in Wright State Student Union.
Sat., Mar. 6, from 9am to 6pm: ART Venture 2010 Exhibit open at The Adventure Summit.
Sun., Mar. 7 from 10am-12pm: Pick up work.
