The INDIEana Handicraft Exchange is a D.I.Y. urban craft fair and bazaar with a full offering of unique handmade goods and creative products like hand-carved wooden rings, hand-hammered sterling silver pendants, fanciful undergarments, custom vintage-inspired western wear, stationery, plush animals, natural bath and body goodies, hand-screened rock ‘n’ roll poster art and much, much more. The IHE showcases the work of artists and crafters who use traditional crafting techniques mixed with a contemporary edge. The IHE is the first of its kind in Indianapolis and is currently held biannually.
The event features live music and entertainment, live roller girls and more than 50 artisans and crafters from the city, state, and beyond. Admission into the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange is free to the public.
Raffle tickets are sold for $2 each for chances to win quality prizes donated by vendors and event sponsors. Patrons are asked to bring a children’s art or craft book or supply for donation at the door. In return, they will receive an additional raffle ticket for each item. All patron donations and raffle proceeds will go to local public school art programs and the Marion County Children’s Guardians Home.
So come on out! Consider doing your shopping the indie way and getting unique, high-quality, handmade products instead of mass-produced items. Put your money directly into the hands of a local artist and support our community economy.
